From Ming-style villas in China to Californian vineyards and chic London apartments
Italian food… by an English chef… in Hong Kong? It may not sound like your usual culinary combination but renowned chef and TV host, Jamie Oliver has never been afraid to ruffle a few feathers. With fresh, simple and honest food, Jamie’s Italian offers a more relaxed dining experience to Causeway Bay’s hungry diners.
The restaurant boasts many of the dishes that the chain has become famous for around the word such as large wooden planks of cured meats, cheeses and seasonal vegetables as well as much-loved classics like the famous prawn linguine and tagliatelle Bolognese. Each week a selection of exciting dishes line the specials boards, currently its flavoursome squid-ink spaghetti and comforting truffle tagliatelle.
The relaxed vibe certainly does not equate to boring, as guests can feast their eyes on numerous spectacles throughout the restaurant such as the intrinsic work of chefs at the fresh pasta station, the chefs at the antipasti bar crafting delicacies from the colourfully cured hanging meats, not to mention the bold graffiti wall that adds to both the dramatic design of the restaurant and the laid back look and feel.
Jamie’s food isn’t fussy or overly decadent, it is simple and honest! Just what people are looking for in a city full of sin.
